Week two of the 2018 NFL season has a more than enough of appealing matchups for football fans. Here’s a look at this week’s breakdowns, betting odds, and predictions.

Baltimore Ravens (1-0) @ Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) (Thursday Night)

  • Time/Venue: 8:20 PM, Paul Brown Stadium
  • Moneyline: CIN -118, BAL -102
  • Spread: CIN -1 (-113), BAL +1 (-107)
  • Over/Under: O 44 (-112), U 44 (-108)
  • Spread Consensus: 63% BAL +1
  • Over/Under Consensus: 64% O 44
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: BAL 21.3 – CIN 20.4

Pick – Ravens

Baltimore’s defense gives the edge on this selection. Cincinnati will struggle both pass and run protecting.

Cam Newton.jpg

Carolina Panthers (1-0) @ Atlanta Falcons (0-1)

  • Time/Venue: 1:00 PM, Mercedes-Benz Stadium
  • Moneyline: ATL -240, CAR +200
  • Spread: ATL -6 (-105), CAR +6 (-115)
  • Over/Under: O 44.5 (-110), U 44.5 (-110)
  • Spread Consensus: 59% CAR +6
  • Over/Under Consensus: 57% U 44.5
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: CAR 22.4 – ATL 21.1

Pick – Falcons

The loss of Greg Olsen hurts the Panthers offense. The Falcons absolutely don’t want to go 0-2.

Melvin Gordon.jpg

Los Angeles Chargers (0-1) @ Buffalo Bills (0-1)

  • Time/Venue: 1:00 PM, New Era Field
  • Moneyline: LAC -300, BUF +250
  • Spread: LAC -7 (-115), BUF +7 (-105)
  • Over/Under: O 42.5 (-110), U 42.5 (-110)
  • Spread Consensus: 68% LAC -7
  • Over/Under Consensus: 50-50
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: LAC 24.4 – BUF 17.2

Pick – Chargers

Los Angeles suffered an embarrassing loss week one to a rookie QB, which will have them fired up this week. Buffalo has no QB, no offense, and apparently no defense.

Nick Foles.jpg

Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0)

  • Time/Venue: 1:00 PM, Raymond James Stadium
  • Moneyline: PHI -170, TB +150
  • Spread: PHI -3 (-123), TB +3 (+103)
  • Over/Under: O 43.5 (-119), U 43.5 (-101)
  • Spread Consensus: 62% PHI -3
  • Over/Under Consensus: 71% O 43.5
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: TB 28.3 – PHI 20.6

Pick – Eagles

Philadelphia’s defense won’t allow a college score like the Saints in week one. Even if they struggle on offense, the Birds D will be enough.

Randall Cobb.jpg

Minnesota Vikings (1-0) @ Green Bay Packers (1-0)

  • Time/Venue: 1:00 PM, Lambeau Field
  • Moneyline: N/A
  • Spread: GB -1 (-110), MIN +1 (-110)
  • Over/Under: O 46.5 (-105), U 46.5 (-15)
  • Spread Consensus: 68% MIN +1
  • Over/Under Consensus: 60% U 46.5
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: GB 23.7 – MIN 18.7

Pick – Vikings

Minnesota’s top tier defense will pressure a hobbling Aaron Rodgers, and stop a mediocre running game.

Derek Henry.jpg

Houston Texans (0-1) @ Tennessee Titans (0-1)

  • Time/Venue: 1:00 PM, Nissan Stadium
  • Moneyline: HOU -130, TEN +110
  • Spread: HOU -2 (-112), TEN +2 (-108)
  • Over/Under: O 44.5 (-102), U 44.5 (-118)
  • Spread Consensus: 70% HOU -2
  • Over/Under Consensus: 52% U 44.5
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: HOU 22.6 – TEN 19.4

Pick – Texans

Tennessee may be without starting QB Marcus Mariota, which won’t bode well for the Titans. DeShaun Watson and Lamar Miller will be too much on the ground for Tennessee to handle.

Alvin Kamara.jpg

Cleveland Browns (0-0-1) @ New Orleans Saints (0-1)

  • Time/Venue: 1:00 PM, Superdome
  • Moneyline: NO -400, CLE +330
  • Spread: NO -9 (-109), CLE (-111)
  • Over/Under: O 50 (+100), U 50 (-120)
  • Spread Consensus: 57% CLE +9
  • Over/Under Consensus: 67% O 50
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: NO 28.4 – CLE 16.3

Pick – Saints

The Hard Knocks stars won’t pick up their first win this week in the Superdome. Although the Browns’ defense looks much better than recent years, Drew Brees and the Saints have way too much offense. Even with all those receivers, Tyrod Taylor still can’t throw the ball accurately.

Sam Darnold.jpg

Miami Dolphins (1-0) @ New York Jets (1-0)

  • Time/Venue: 1:00 PM, MetLife Stadium
  • Moneyline: NYJ -145, MIA +125
  • Spread: NYJ -3 (+100), MIA +3 (-120)
  • Over/Under: O 44 (-110), U 44 (-110)
  • Spread Consensus: 60% NYJ -3
  • Over/Under Consensus: 69% O 44
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: NYJ 26.3 – MIA 14.4

Pick – Jets

Having home field advantage this week will help rookie QB Sam Darnold and the Jets. The inaccuracy of Ryan Tannehill will hurt the Dolphins’ offense.

Jon Conner.jpg

Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (0-0-1)

  • Time/Venue: 1:00 PM, Heinz Field
  • Moneyline: PIT -205, KC +175
  • Spread: PIT -4 (-110), KC +4 (-110)
  • Over/Under: O 53 (-106), U 53 (-114)
  • Spread Consensus: 71% KC +4
  • Over/Under Consensus: 70% O 53
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: PIT 32.9 – KC 16.9

Pick – Steelers

The noise from the Terrible Towls will ruffle Chiefs’ rookie QB Pat Mahomes. Vegas is predicting a high scoring game, and most of that will come from Pittsburgh.

Andrew Luck.jpg

Indianapolis Colts (0-1) @ Washington Redskins (1-0)

  • Time/Venue: 1:00 PM, FedEx Field
  • Moneyline: WAS -245, IND +205
  • Spread: WAS -5.5 (-115), IND +5.5 (-105)
  • Over/Under: O 45.5 (-130), U 45.5 (+110)
  • Spread Consensus: 54% WAS -5.5
  • Over/Under Consensus: 68% O 45.5
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: WAS 25.5 – IND 16.0

Pick – Redskins

The Colts’ O-line can yet be trusted. Washington’s running attack will allow their passing game to open up and take care of a weak Indianapolis defense.

Todd Gurley.jpg

Arizona Cardinals (0-1) @ Los Angeles Rams (1-0)

  • Time/Venue: 1:00 PM, Los Angeles Coliseum
  • Moneyline: LAR -1000, ARI +600
  • Spread: LAR -12 (-110), ARI +12 (-110)
  • Over/Under: O 45.5 (+110), U 45.5 (-120)
  • Spread Consensus: 67% LAR -12
  • Over/Under Consensus: 56% O 44.5
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: LAR 24.4 – 11.4

Pick – Rams

Too much talent and firepower on both sides of the ball for Arizona too handle.

Jimmy G.jpg

Detroit Lions (0-1) @ San Francisco 49ers (0-1)

  • Time/Venue: 4:05 PM, Levi’s Stadium
  • Moneyline: SF -260, DET +220
  • Spread: SF -6.5 (-110), DET +6.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: O 47.5 (-115), U 47.5 (-105)
  • Spread Consensus: 60% SF -6.5
  • Over/Under Consensus: 64% O 47.5
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: SF 33.4 – DET 11.4

Pick – 49ers

Detroit looked like a high school team in week one, and the recent news of the players not like new head coach Matt Patricia looks bad. San Francisco will take care of a weak minded Lions squad.

Emmanuel Sanders.jpg

Oakland Raiders (0-1) @ Denver Broncos (1-0)

  • Time/Venue: 4:25 PM, Broncos Stadium
  • Moneyline: DEN -250, OAK +210
  • Spread: DEN -6 (-112), OAK +6 (-108)
  • Over/Under: O 46 (-115), U 46 (-105)
  • Spread Consensus: 51% DEN -6
  • Over/Under Consensus: 58% U 46
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: DEN 26.8 – OAK 15.7

Pick – Broncos

Minus their opening drive in week one, Jon Gruden’s Raiders looked mediocre. Amari Cooper caught just one of three targets for nine yards. On the other hand, Case Keenum did what he needed to do to take down the Seahawks. The Broncos being at home this week and their defense give them the edge over Oakland.

Blake Bortles.jpg

New England Patriots (1-0) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0)

  • Time/Venue: 4:25 PM, TIAA Bank Field
  • Moneyline: NE -115, JAC -105
  • Spread: NE -1 (-110), JAC +1 (-110)
  • Over/Under: O 45 (-112), U 45 (-108)
  • Spread Consensus: 66% NE -1
  • Over/Under Consensus: 51% O 45
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: JAC 25.6 – NE 20.2

Pick – Patriots

Although the Jaguars’ secondary is solid, everything else is iffy. They lost receivers Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, and Marquise Lee, so Blake Bortles doesn’t have many options. Leonard Fournette is also questionable with a hamstring injury. The Pats will take care of business.

Eli Manning.jpg

Dallas Cowboys (0-1) @ New York Giants (0-1)

  • Time/Venue: 8:20 PM, AT&T Stadium
  • Moneyline: DAL -150, NYG +130
  • Spread: DAL -3 (-105), NYG +3 (-115)
  • Over/Under: O 42 (-115), U 42 (-105)
  • Spread Consensus: 66% NYG +3
  • Over/Under Consensus: 54% O 42
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: DAL 19.8 – NYG 16.5

Pick – Giants

Dak Prescott didn’t have anyone to throw the ball to last week, and he won’t this week either. No passing offense makes Ezekiel Elliot and the running game one dimensional. They scored just 8 points last week in Carolina. Eli Manning will have an easier time throwing the ball this week after facing a top tier secondary in the Jaguars.

Khalil Mack.jpg

Seattle Seahawks (0-1) @ Chicago Bears (0-1) (Monday Night)

  • Time/Venue: 8:15 PM, Soldier Field
  • Moneyline: CHI -176, SEA +156
  • Spread: CHI -3 (-125), SEA +3 (-105)
  • Over/Under: O 43.5 (-112), U 43.5 (-108)
  • Spread Consensus: 51% SEA +3
  • Over/Under Consensus: 52% O 43.5
  • Odds Shark Predicted Score: CHI 29.4 – SEA 12.0

Pick – Seahawks

Still not comfortable enough with Mitchell Trubisky to pick Chicago. Although their defense looked better with the addition of Khalil Mack, it’s not enough to give them the edge over the experience of Seattle.
