Paris Saint-Germain Football Club is rumored to be teaming up with Nike’s Jordan brand.

Nike and its Jordan brand could begin a new chapter of its already dominating success strategies by joining forces with the overseas Football Club, as it does in the United States. In 2017, Nike made $1.29 billion from basketball alone, which dominated its rival Adidas’ $401 million. However, in 2016 Adidas soccer made $3 billion while Nike made $2.1 billion, and this move could start to close the gap between the two sides.

At a concert in Paris last week, pop megastar Justin Timberlake debuted new clothing from the Jordan brand and Paris Saint-Germain. The jacket featured a massive Jordan logo with “Paris Saint-Germain” wrapped in a circle around the logo.

In 2017, Nike reported wholesale revenue of $3.1 billion from its Jordan brand alone, which was up 13% from its prior year. Nike’s total sales of 2017 were reported to be $28.7 billion.
